About Selbyville, DE - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Selbyville is a municipality in Delaware with about 2,000 inhabitants. The settlement was the major supplier of strawberries for the whole Atlantic seaboard up until the 1930s. The township traces its past back to its creation in 1778 when it was originally called Sandy Branch. A grist mill and saw mill were established in the late 1700s and the change of name began in the 1840’s when Sampson Selby opened up the town’s country store and took to writing “Selby-Ville” on his packages. As the years have gone by, the town has become modern without losing its historic charm.

Local towns are dedicated to preserving the past whilst looking toward opportunities and concepts with open minds and hearts. For example, Georgetown has a more diverse populace than might be expected in a small Delaware township. Many residents speak Haitian French, Creole, Spanish, and more. Nearby Rehoboth Beach is also well-known as one of the Atlantic coast's fashionable LGBT-friendly getaways since there are a huge number of LGBT-owned businesses in the town. People love gathering and sharing fellowship and fun in an inclusive environment. It has a generally tolerant and fun ambiance. The balmy summers attract tourists and guests to the towns in the vicinity. They come from many walks of life, lifestyles, religions, cultures, races, sexuality, and genders and everyone is welcomed with open arms.

Looking for an inside activity when the climate is cold in the wintry weather or fall? Historic architecture is ubiquitous in the area and the people are some of the friendliest that you will ever have the occasion to meet. Doyle's Restaurant in Selbyville has been documented by the State of Delaware as the oldest diner in the entire state (that is still in service). The restaurant still has the original 1930's diner attached to the main eatery. Diners can decide to eat in the famous diner area for a totally genuine early 20th century experience.  Opened in 2003, the bordering community of Seaford has a history museum that is quite outstanding and extraordinary.  The museum houses thousands of artifacts and exhibits documenting Nanticoke Indian tribe history, farming, shipbuilding, the poultry industry, the area’s natural resources, the railroads, and much more.
